Living Righteous
A lot of individuals struggle to live righteous. This is quite understandable because, we are only human and most times are affected by the physical dilemmas that often come our way. I would say that it would definitely take the intervention of a higher authority to enable the human being live upright. I would encourage you to have a relationship with Jesus Christ as a way of ensuring that you live properly.
Living righteous, simply put is living life without offense towards man and God. Most individuals however have a mind set on the expectation that Jesus Christ is coming soon and this guards their actions on a day to day basis. Christians however, get too carried away with activities on earth and forget the reality that Heaven is our supposed final destination.
Living righteous is basically simple though, it has to do with only two commandments:
Love thy God with all your heart and with all your soul and with thy entire mind.
Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself.
Living righteous = ((GOD) + (man)) X (Love)
Disobedience will only subject us to sickness, problems and even death. The secret to righteous living however is love. We are not at liberty to do all we wish, thereby, living carefree. Living on our own daily without a higher purpose that is connected to God will only enslave us in sin. Most times, we depend blindly on the accessibility of God’s mercy as sufficient to wash us clean every time we err and we give room for sin. This is a mistake and misguided principle that originates from our fleshy desires. God’s grace and mercy are not spiritual cleaning kits that must be kept in the workshop and made available only at times when we go wrong. We are to seek for perfection, to live how Jesus Christ lived when he was physically on earth.
Strive to hear the words, “well done thou good and faithful servant”, strive to win points daily for yourself with God and build a strong foundation for the tomorrows of you and your generations to come. Your name will be a great pillar for the ultimate purpose of God and the total welfare of men around you. God bless you, Amen.
